Abstract
In this paper we consider the problem of optimization of shapes and sizes of MFM probes to realize the maxiÂmum MFM contrast from small ferromagnetic particles was shown that for all probes there are optimal shape parameters connected with probe-particle dipolar interaction. The optimum is defined both by the geometry of the probe and by the structure of the magnetic field of investigated objects. The calculations which were perÂformed for the spherical nanoparticle show that in general the tip size should be approximately equal to the size of investigated particle.
