Abstract

The results of scanning electron microscopy and scanning probe microscopy investigations of the morphology of composite bioactive coatings, formed on titanium alloys VT6 (RU) and VT16 (RU) are presented. The possibility to form coatings with various porosity depending on type of the substrate material, composition of the electrolyte, as well as parameters of the micro-arc oxidation process is shown. In vitro data indicates satisfactory matrix (for cells) properties of the surface of the tested coatings.
