Publications of the last five years dealing with nanometerials used as sensors for determination of gases are analysed. Features of the production of chemoresistive nanoselective sensors based on semiconductor oxides, carbon tubes and polyaniline are noted. The main applications of gas sensors are considered. The prospects of using quasi-one-dimensional nanomaterials such as nanorods, nanotubes, and nanoribbons as materials for sensor devices are discussed.
