Abstract
Highly pure, isomerically mixed dimeric C-70 fullerene oxide C140O was prepared in preparative amounts using conventional laboratory methods. Unknown trimeric C-70 fullerene oxides C210On (n=2, 3) were by-products of the preparation. The prepared isomeric C140O mixture was characterized by high pressure liquid chromatography (HPLC), mass- (MS-), infra-red- (IR-), and ultraviolet-visible- (UV-vis-) spectroscopies, as well as by cyclic voltammetry (CV) and thermo-gravimetric analyses (TGA).
