Abstract
New dibetaine of unsaturated viologen analogue, which forms a pseudorotaxane complex with cucurbit[7]uril in aqueous media, was synthesized. The structure and stability of the complex were studied using electronic and 1H NMR spectroscopies and X-ray diffraction. Complex of such structure is a prototype of molecular machine operated by light.
