Abstract

A protocol of electrode modification with multi-walled carbon nanotubes has been developed. Atomic force microscopy, electrochemical impedance and cyclic voltammetry data show that modified electrodes possess porous nanostructured surface, high conductivity and capacitance. The electron transfer rate in redox reactions at these electrodes was estimated. Carbon nanotubes modified electrodes are easy to construct and characterized by reproducible properties and high sensitivity towards biomolecules, which makes them promising transducers for the development of biosensors.
