The features of formation of a 3,3-di-(?-sulfopropyl)-4,4',5,5'-dibenzo-9-ethylthiacarbocyanine solid phases from methanol and acetonitrile solutions in thin films preparing on a rotating glass substrate are investigated. Spin coating technology was used to apply uniform thin films. It was shown that it is possible to obtain different polymorphic modifications of the dye by varying the conditions of the deposition of a solution. Main parameters are the rate of evaporation of the solvent and the concentration of the dye in initial solution. The rate of evaporation of the solvent depends on the initial thickness of the solution film, which is determined by the angular speed of substrate. The found experimental correlations allow creating nanostructured films which optical characteristics are defined by conditions of the deposition of solutions. The phenomenological analysis of the correlations was carried out.
