Abstract
The main technologies for preparation and industrial production of carbon nanotubes and nanofibers are briefly outlined. The most widespread facilities for catalytic pyrolysis of hydrocarbons are described. Information on single-and multiwalled nanotube production capacities worldwide is given. Nanotube and nanofiber applications and the trends of their expansion are generally overviewed.
