Abstract
An actinomycete (bacteria) strain Streptomyces Glaucus 71MD isolated from the soybean rhizosphere in Georgian soils is examined for its ability to produces gold nanoparticles from an aqueous solution containing HAuCl_4 (chloroauric acid). The obtained results clearly show that gold nanoparticles formed by reduction of Au(III) ions by Streptomyces Glaucus 71MD are crystalline in nature and they are produced in general extracellularly.
